Leander Area Republican Women

is a grassroots organization that works for, and promotes Republican ideas and values. We do this by working with Republican Party nominees, being informed politically, and promoting effectiveness of women in government.
 
LeanderARW is proud to be part of the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) and National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW). We are also registered with the Texas Ethics Commission.
 
We are committed to fostering loyalty to the Republican Party, and to promote its principles and candidates in all elections including non-partisan elections.

Established in 2020...

In October 2020 the women of Leander saw a need to establish a local TFRW club. The city was, and still is growing very fast, and a number of new Republicans are moving to the area almost daily. With this need, the LeanderARW club was created! We officially became a TFRW club in February 2021 and NFRW club in March 2021. Our membership has grown rapidly and continues to grow today. We are proud to be a hard-working group of Republican women and men committed to leading in Leander and surrounding areas. LeanderARW Executive team, Committee Chairs, Members, and Associate Members are dedicated to serving our community and promoting Republican values.

Our Objectives...

  • To work for the election of the Republican Party's nominees
  • To promote an informed electorate through political education
  • To increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through active political participation
  • To facilitate cooperation among local Republican Women's clubs
  • To foster loyalty to the Republican Party, and promote its principles and candidates in all elections, including non-partisan elections

Meet the 2024 LeanderARW Executive Officers...

Kate McDonald
President

Kate was re-elected as our 2024 President, and will serve as President until December 2024. As President, Kate presides over all LeanderARW meetings, appoints Committee Chairpersons, and oversees all general club activities.

Kathryn Pantalion-Parker
1st Vice President

Kathryn was elected as our 1st Vice President, and will serve in this position until December 2024. As the 1st VP, Kathryn performs duties as President when the President is unavailable.

Barbara Shaffer
2nd Vice President of Membership

Barbara was elected as our 2nd Vice President of Membership, and will serve in this position until December 2024. Barbara is responsible to recruit, encourage, and mentor new members.

Crystle Cloud
Vice President Programs

Crystle was re-elected as our VP of Programs, and will serve in this position until December 2024. She is responsible for initiating speakers at our meetings and events.

Barsa Harclerode
Vice President Finance

Barsa was elected as our first VP of Finance, and will serve in this position until December 2024. She is responsible for helping our club fundraisers.

Diane Herrera
Treasurer

Diane was re-elected as our Treasurer, and will serve as the Treasurer until December 2023. Diane is the custodian for all club funds and expenses. She is registered with the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC), and submits club reports as required by the TEC.

Terry Bodwin
Secretary

Terry was elected as our club Secretary, and will serve in this position until December 2024. She is responsible for recording, and keeping factual and unbiased records of all meeting proceedings for the club.
